Northern Star and its Retailer-Partners once again made full use of available digital communication technology with the conduct of the second Retail Network Meeting for 2021 on July 30.

“Five months ago – in February—we marked a Northern Star milestone in digital communication with our first Online Retail Network Meeting” recalled Juan Miguel T. Delgado, Northern Star COO in his Opening Remarks. “Today’s online event is proof that we have truly adapted to the demands of these trying times.”

Ninety-three percent of the total Retailer-Partners attended the virtual session along with members of the Northern Star Retail team. The topics discussed covered updates on new builds, Chevron Philippines activities, the Caltex Bayanihan Incentive Program, Non-Fuel retail, Leasing, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Delgado cited Retail’s milestones in growing the Non-Fuel retail and Leasing businesses and thanked the Retailer-Partners for their cooperation and support. He also officially introduced the new Deputy General Manager, Stephen Tiongco, who will be directly overseeing sales and operations for Northern Star’s Retail and Commercial & Industrial businesses. Tiongco is a Chevron veteran with almost 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

“The specter of COVID-19 continues, particularly with the onset of the more contagious Delta variant, and uncertainties and challenges remain,” Delgado said. “I request all of you not to lose heart, work hard and continue to put our trust in the Lord and on each other. This is what has pulled us through across the treacherous landscape caused by the pandemic. This is also what will take us into a successful future as we help move lives forward.”
