GAMECHANGERS AT POLARIS – RETAILER APPRECIATION EVENT

To celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of retailer-partners in 2022, Northern Star Energy Corporation hosted the Polaris Awards and General Assembly at the Clark Marriott Hotel on May 18 and 19, 2023, with the theme “Gamechanger”.
Northern Star COO Juan Miguel T. Delgado opened the event on May 18 by thanking all attendees for their loyalty and support during the trying times of the Pandemic. He recapped changes and successes achieved by Northern Star in convenience retailing in 2022 and provided a preview of the exciting future that lies ahead.
The energy continued to soar on May 19 as the NEL, MELA, and LUISA territories, along with the NStar All Stars team, came together to show their TikTok skills before listening to Noel Ang, Northern Star's Consultant for Convenience Expansion & Growth, talk about the company's non-fuel retail activities, achievements, plans and programs. New stars shine bright in Fairview, Quezon City, and San Pablo, Laguna with the recent opening of Northern Star’s Caltex service stations.
Caltex San Pablo 1, LAG, San Nicolas sits proudly in the heart of this thriving city, catering to the needs of transient and traditional markets passing through the area with quality fuel, exceptional service, and sustainable practices.
Similarly, in bustling Quezon City, Caltex Quezon City 1, Dahlia takes center stage, providing top-quality fuel and non-fuel products and services, while promoting sustainability and care for the environment.

NSTAR’S SHELL MOBILITY ARRIVES IN ABRA

Northern Star unveiled its latest Shell-branded mobility station in the majestic landscapes of Abra on June 2, 2023. Its arrival aims to redefine the fuel and convenience retail experience in the region by catering to the needs of both residents and travelers exploring the captivating wonders of the province.

CONVENIENCE MEETS FLAVOR: NSTAR PARTNERS WITH PICKUP COFFEE AND POTATO CORNER
|
|
|
Northern Star proudly shared the much-anticipated arrival of PickUp Coffee and Potato Corner branches in its growing convenience retail network.
PickUp Coffee received a warm welcome at Caltex Makati 1, Arnaiz on June 2, 2023, and Caltex Pasig 5, Eusebio on July 7, 2023. Guests at the grand openings enjoyed complimentary coffee, adding to the excitement of the events.
Potato Corner, on the other hand, brought a burst of flavor to Shell Bauang 1 LU, Central East on June 24, 2023, with their deliciously seasoned fries.
Northern Star believes these new additions will not only enhance customer satisfaction but also contribute to the overall growth of the business by attracting a wider customer base and increasing foot traffic of both motorists and pedestrians.
This collaboration furthers Northern Star’s objective to expand its non-fuel retail offers throughout its convenience retail network.

FROM ENGINES TO ROADS: THE MARKETING VOYAGE OF THE NSTAR LUBRICANTS TEAMS

|
It was indeed a siksik-liglig trip for the Northern Star Lubricants Team during the first half of 2023 after rolling out various marketing promotions in Region 2. The team went to Tuguegarao City on March 28-31 and Isabela on June 6-9 for the Park and Roll activity, and held the second leg of the Caravan sa Cagayan sales campaign on April 25-28.
These events featured Shell Advance products and allowed its B2C customers to learn about its features through interactive discussions and games- plus specially-prepared Shell branded giveaways for daily use!
Northern Star is the official distributor of Shell Lubricants in Region 2 and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

NSTAR STS GOES TO ISABELA
|
|
Northern Star once again demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility through its inaugural Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS) activity in 2023 designed to benefit Sinsayon Elementary School in Santiago, Isabela.
One notable addition to this year’s STS was Project Marigold, a donation drive led by the employees themselves. This initiative allowed those who were unable to physically participate in the STS activity to show their support. Read more here.

READY AND VAXXED FOR THE
FLU SEASON!
Northern Star took another proactive measure to prioritize the health and safety of its employees by providing a complimentary Quadrivalent Flu Vaccine to the staff. Held on June 22-23 the vaccine was administered by the NStar company nurse at the head office.
This engagement demonstrates Northern Star’s commitment to maintain a healthy work environment and prevent the spread of the flu virus.

THE WOMEN OF NORTHERN STAR #EMBRACEEQUITY
March 17, 2023 was Purple Day when the women of the Northern Star group donned the royal color to signify that they #EmbraceEquity in this year’s celebration of International Women’s Month.
Their participation provided a platform to express themselves and highlighted the importance of women across Northern Star. The event also included an HPV and HPV (Cervical Cancer) Vaccine Awareness talk and gifts of appreciation for the ladies. Read more here.

Northern Star celebrated the incredible parents in its workforce during the Father’s Day and Mother’s Day events this 2023. Recognizing the roles they play in both their personal and professional lives, the company made sure to honor both moms and dads with well-deserved moments of relaxation and acknowledgment.

NORTHERN STAR CULTURE: EMBRACING LEARNING, CELEBRATION, AND TOGETHERNESS

|
Fostering a workplace atmosphere of enthusiasm and enjoyment, Northern Star treated its employees to a memorable summer outing on May 12-13, 2023 at the White Rock Resort, Subic.
In addition to the summer outing, the company also organized a series of essential activities throughout the first half of 2023 like the HPV and HPV (Cervical Cancer) Vaccine Awareness and A Personal Finance Guide for Working Filipinos.

Celebrating special occasions was also an integral part of Northern Star’s culture. During Easter, an egg hunt brought joy and excitement. Valentine's Day was enjoyed inclusively, acknowledging that love comes whether one is in a relationship, married, or single.
Through OneHR, the company's offline and online Employee Engagement program, Northern Star aims to ensure that its workforce remains well-informed and actively engaged.
