STS IN CEBU: NORTHERN STAR AND GOPETROL JOIN FORCES TO GO GREEN
|
|
|
Northern Star and GoPetrol Transport, Inc. (GPTI) joined forces with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. One to Tree (RAFI-OTT) to plant native timber and fruit-bearing seedlings in Brgy. Can-asujan, Carcar City, Cebu under Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS). STS is Northern Star’s social investment program launched in 2016 with central themes of education, health, environment, and values formation.
With the help of Conta Manghupi Farmers Association (COMAFA), a community-based forest management holder awarded by DENR, a total of 2000 seedlings were planted last December 7, 2023. This joint effort plays a crucial role in mitigating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and moving lives forward.
The collective impact of these newly planted trees echoes the Northern Star Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its dedication to corporate social responsibility.

NORTHERN STAR AND NSF STARTS DAY ONE OF SCHOOL YEAR ‘23-‘24 WITH 200 SCHOOL SUPPLY PACKS
|

|
Students of Malaya Integrated National High School in Pililla, Rizal received a total of 200 school supply packs from Northern Star Fuel Facilities Solutions (NSF) on August 29, 2023 to mark the start of school year 2023-2024.
The donation was made through Sikap, Tulong, Sulong (STS) and Project Marigold, corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs of Northern Star Energy Corporation (NStar), NSF’s parent company.
NSF donated 140 school supply packs through STS and the additional 60 packs — plus three electric fans — were from Project Marigold. STS is the blanket CSR program of the NStar Group with central themes focused on education, health, environment, and values formation while Marigold is an employee-driven donation drive. STS and Project Marigold operate in tandem to harness the collective generosity and support of the Northern Star Team.
NSF believes this initiative cultivates a pipeline for future talent, promotes positive social change, and aligns with the company’s ethical values.

NORTHERN STAR AND SHELL: IGNITING BUSINESS SUCCESS THROUGH LUBRICANTS SALES PARTNERSHIPS

|
The Northern Star and Shell Lubricants Teams collaborated on October 4, 2023 to host Igniting Success With Shell Lubricants, a special event for NStar’s B2B customers in Regions 1 and CAR.
The one-day program held at Pinewood Park Golf Course, Baguio City, highlighted Shell’s latest lubricant products. Speakers from both teams shared their expertise and insights through presentations on the fundamentals of lubrication and the Shell Lubricants product portfolio in the Transport and Construction Sectors.
To add to the excitement, attendees were also given exclusive deals with up to 40% discount on select Shell Lubricants products!

NSTAR AND MELA RETAILERS MEET FOR THE SECOND CREM OF 2023
|
|
|
The Northern Star team and its business partners from Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cavite (MELA) territory gathered in Makati for their second Convenience Retail Engagement Meeting (CREM) of the year on October 17, 2023.
This edition of the MELA CREM focused on key updates and plans for the remaining months of 2023. Among the topics discussed were company and sales updates, non-fuel business, the new payment retail process and marketing promotions.
In addition to MELA, similar CREM meetings have been conducted in other territories such as La Union, Isabela, Ilocos Norte and Sur, and Abra (LUISA), and North East Luzon (NEL).
CREMs aim to strengthen partnerships, align strategies, and drive mutual growth of Northern Star and its retailers.

FROM GAMECHANGERS TO TRAVELERS: THE POLARIS 2022 AWARDEES IN TAIPEI, TAIWAN

|
Northern Star Polaris 2022 awardees enjoyed the fruits of their hard work as they savored the rich culture and heritage of Taipei, Taiwan from October 20-22, 2023.
Feasting on world-famous Taiwanese cuisine and exploring historical places of the city together, the trip was an excellent opportunity for the Northern Star Team and its business partners to bond and build stronger connections.
The trip was the main prize of the Polaris Awards, an annual Northern Star event that aims to recognize the outstanding performance and partnership of its Convenience Retailer-Partners.

NSTAR SHINES IN DENIM DURING CHRISTMAS 2023
|

|
The Northern Star Group shone in their denims last December 1st at the 2023 Company Christmas Party held in Makati City.
COO Juan Miguel T. Delgado kicked off the event by welcoming and thanking the Northern Star team for their hard work during the current year.
The highlight of the evening was the recognition of employees who have contributed time and skills to the company’s success over the years. Both the 5-year and 10-year loyalty awardees were given Certificates of Appreciation and wristwatches.
The program also featured the awarding of prizes to the beYOU Program winners. beYOU is an umbrella program that covers Northern Star employee engagements related to physical, mental, and social health.
The winning teams and individuals excelled in various events promoting an active lifestyle through physical and sports activities.
Adding a touch of glamour to the evening, select employees were also given prizes for their eye-catching outfits that made them shine and stand out as true fashionistas.

Slamming hoops, striking pins, and spiking success!
The 2023 beYOU program kicked off with the Happy Feet Challenge, where groups joined forces to conquer step goals every Wednesday. Next on the list was the heart-pounding Run in Place and Planking individual challenges, followed by the much-awaited group activities - badminton, bowling, and basketball, that brought teams together, strengthening camaraderie and teamwork.

Northern Star Caltex-branded service station in Isabela celebrated the holidays for the second year in a row with Todo-Todong Regalo, a retail promotion that ran from November 27 to December 24, 2023.
