DIGISTARS GET REWARDS
Northern Star, in partnership with Digipay, rolled out the DigiStar Incentive program exclusively for Northern Star-Caltex Retailer Partners. The program awards Digipay credits to those who can hit monthly transaction count targets for E-load, bills payment, and Digipadala. It started last April and will run until October 2021.

OUR FIRST STAR IN NAGUILIAN
Northern Star opened its first Caltex service station in the municipality of Naguilian, La Union on March 18. Located in Barangay Ortiz, the town’s center of commercial activities, the site is within the EPIC Mall complex, the only shopping mall in the area.

MORE THAN JUST NOODLES
Promising to be as popular as the famous Pancit Cabagan, Northern Star opened Caltex Cabagan 1 on Maharlika Highway, Barangay Ugad on April 12, 2021. The new-to-industry site is the 70th in the network, the 30th in Northeast Luzon, and the 13th in Isabela.

Northern Star subsidiary GoPetrol Transport, Inc. maintained its ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) certifications by TUV SUD, a globally recognized agency leader in the field of testing, inspection, management system certification, and product certification.
The surveillance audit held on June 21, 2021, cited GoPetrol's ability "...to ensure the health and safety of employees, the top management commitment to conduct rapid test/antigen test every 14 days..." and its "...continual improvement... for the process of training effectiveness for the organization (and) commitment to apply technology to improve training update and monitoring using a mobile app..."
The support of the management was also noted as evidenced by the expansion of operations and acquisition of four additional tank trucks.

NORTHERN STAR CELEBRATES EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION MONTH
Northern Star recognized the people behind the success of the company by celebrating Employee Appreciation Month last March 2021. The Human Resources Department in collaboration with Strategic Marketing and Communications Department set up an appreciation wall where employees can write their messages to their colleagues.

ONE YEAR OF RWA
On March 13, 2020, days before the government declared the community quarantine in key cities in Metro Manila, Northern Star already transitioned its team members to a work-from-home arrangement. One year later, the majority of the Northern Star team members continue to work in the safety of their homes.

COVID-19 VACCINE INFO-SESSION FOR EMPLOYEES
On February 24, 2021, the Northern Star team attended an info session regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, facilitated by Health Metrics, Inc. Medical Director, Dr. Saren Bongalonta -Roldan.

NORTHERN STAR ‘VACCINE CHAMPIONS’ TESTIFY
To help fight the global pandemic, Northern Star launched the ‘Vaccine Champion’ campaign to encourage its employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Employees availing of the COVID-19 vaccine – whether from their local community, the company or other legitimate sources – will automatically have two additional days of Vacation Leave.
