LOOKING BACK, MOVING FORWARD.
In the previous edition of the Northern Star POST, we asked the question, “What’s next?”.

The year 2022 was memorable not just because Northern Star turned 10 but it was also a year when we set several significant and record-breaking milestones.  In 2023, we will move on into a decade brimming with new trends, more daunting challenges, and more exciting opportunities.
BRINGING MORE CONVENIENCE AND MOBILITY TO REGION 1
Northern Star took yet another bold move when it inked a deal with Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation to formally bring the latter’s Mobility stations to the Northern Star Retail Network in the Ilocos Region (Region 1). Consumers in La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte – motorists and pedestrians alike — can now look forward to enjoying more of Shell’s high-quality products and services on the road.

Northern Star and Pilipinas Shell will work together for the seamless integration of operational practices in alignment with Shell standards. Read more here.
CONVENIENCE AND MOBILITY FOR YOU

The Province of La Union got a big boost in terms of mobility and convenience with the grand launch of Shell Mobility stations under the Northern Star Retail Network held at Shell Aringay 1, Poblacion, La Union in November 2022.

The launch spotlights the economic and convenience impact that the Shell mobility stations will bring to the local community and transient motorists by providing access to high quality fuel and non-fuel products and services.

The Northern Star Convenience Network ended 2022 with 12 fully operational Shell mobility sites and 48 Caltex service stations, including six new-to-industry locations.

NORTHERN STAR NOW A SHELL FLEET CARD RESELLER

Northern Star further strengthened its strategic partnership with Pilipinas Shell by becoming an official Shell Fleet Card reseller in November 2022. This makes available to more customers Shell's quality products and services and positions Northern Star as a true multi-branded marketer of fuel and non-fuel products.

NORTHERN STAR MEETS PARTNERS IN CREM
Northern Star held its first in-person Convenience Retailer Engagement Meeting (CREM) -- the first in the last three years -- for its Caltex Retailer-Partners in Northeast Luzon (NEL) in October.

The event discussed significant topics crucial to sustain the synergy between Northern Star and its Retailer-Partners to meet ever-changing challenges of convenience retailing. It likewise covered a review of sales results vis-à-vis targets, updates from Chevron Philippines, Inc., ongoing marketing activities, as well as other strategies and plans for the rest of 2022.

Moving forward, Northern Star will conduct more frequent activities to constantly inform and engage its Partners and in turn improve customer satisfaction. Read more here
A CEBU SOJOURN FOR NORTHERN STAR RETAILER-PARTNERS
Historic Cebu City was a fitting rendezvous for the 2021 Northern Star Polaris Awards major winners. “We would like to thank the Northern Star team for bringing us to Cebu and making us feel that we truly belong in one team,” said the Retailers. “We really appreciate your welcome and assistance.”

The annual Polaris Awards recognize and reward Retailer-Partners within the Northern Star convenience retail network based on fuel sales volume, customer service and facilities ratings, non-fuel sales performance and compliance to different regulatory bodies. The major awardees also received cash prizes aside from the travel incentive.
