CALTEX PASIG 1, JULIA VARGAS IS LAZADA’S 2022 RETAIL STATION OF THE YEAR

Northern Star Energy Corporation’s Caltex Pasig 1, Julia Vargas service station bagged the Retail Station of The Year award in the first ever Lazada Partners’ Appreciation Night held on January 27, 2023 at the Hard Rock Café in S’Maison Mall in Pasay City.

The Company-Owned, Company-Operated service station bested approximately 1,500 Lazada Drop Off Point partners (DOPs) nationwide by handling the most number of transactions in 2022 – around 80,400 parcels or an average of 6,700 a month.

In addition to Caltex Pasig 1, Julia Vargas, there are currently three other DOPs in the Northern Star Caltex service station network: Caltex Las Pinas 1, Pamplona, Caltex Pasig 5, Eusebio, and Caltex Olongapo 1, Bajac-Bajac.

Northern Star will expand its Lazada network with two more Caltex DOPs lined up for the first quarter of 2023.  The partnership underlines Northern Star’s commitment to provide more convenience to customers by collaborating with established and credible e-commerce service providers. There are around 12 million new e-commerce users since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. Of these, 99% believe that e-commerce is now part of their daily lives.  Around 39% of businesses said that they would not have survived the pandemic without e-commerce.

    The Lazada transactions in Caltex Pasig 1, Julia Vargas are ably handled by Mar Vincent Encallado with the support of Station Officer Liezel Salvador. Their proactive efforts resulted in Zero Quality Issues considering the large volume of transactions in the site.

      Northern Star gives back to customers of its Caltex Service Stations this holiday season with extended treats when they fuel up from December 1, 2022, to January 10, 2023. 

      Motorists who get fuel from the following participating sites in Northeast Luzon will get one raffle ticket for every P300 spent in a single receipt of Platinum, Silver, or Diesel.

      LUISA CONVENIENCE RETAILER PARTNERS GET ENGAGED

      Retailer-Partners in Northwest Luzon — from La Union, Ilocos Sur and Norte, and Abra (LUISA) – came in full force to bond with Northern Star and Shell in the LUISA Retailer Engagement Day held on November 28, 2022 at Patio by Balai Norte in San Juan, La Union.

      The meeting was the first gathering of all Retailer-Partners under the Shell Brand of the Northern Star Convenience Retail Network.  It aimed to educate the convenience retailers about the Shell mobility concept as well as promote a harmonious relationship with the Shell and Northern Star teams.

      The discussions – made more fun by dinner and games — focused on Shell’s growth plans and strategies to boost revenue in the light of current and future convenience retail trends.

      NORTHERN STAR AND SHELL CARAVAN ROLLS INTO CAGAYAN VALLEY!

      Northern Star Energy Corporation successfully announced its designation as the official distributor of world-class Shell Lubricants in region 2 and CAR during the first leg of Caravan sa Cagayan Valley, a two-day sales campaign highlighted by a motorcade held on October 19 and 20, 2022.

      Caravan was organized in collaboration with Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation and the Local Government Units of Tuguegarao, Cagayan and Cauayan, and Ilagan, Isabela. It aims to promote Shell gear and automotive and motorcycle engine oils such as Shell Advance, Shell Rimula, Shell Helix, Shell Spirax, Shell Brake & Clutch Fluid, and Shell Anti-freeze.

      To assure the steady and reliable supply of products to its target customers, Northern Star set up and manages Shell Lubricant warehouses in Isabela and Cagayan.

      NORTHERN STAR MEETS PARTNERS IN CREM

      After nearly three years of conducting virtual meetings, Northern Star and its Retailer Partners met in person for the first time for the Northeast Luzon (NEL) Convenience Retailer Engagement Meeting (CREM) last October 18 in Cauayan, Isabela.

      The event sought to continue to inform and engage Northern Star Retailer Partners in NEL of the changes, challenges, and opportunities in the convenience retailing business. The meeting agenda covered a review of sales results vis-à-vis targets, updates from Chevron Philippines, Inc., and ongoing marketing activities as well as other strategies and plans for the rest of 2022.

      All attendees were COVID-tested on the day of the event to ensure the safety of everyone.

        NORTHERN STAR AND SHELL BRING CONVENIENCE AND MOBILITY TO REGION 1

        Northern Star recently inked a deal with Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation to bring Shell-branded Mobility stations to Northern Star Retail Network in Region 1. By doing so, Filipino consumers in La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte – motorists and pedestrians alike — can now look forward to enjoying more of Shell’s high-quality products and services on the road.

        The Mobility sites will support the increasing travel and economic activity in Baguio City, Banaue, La Union, Vigan, Pagudpud, and other tourist hotspots in the region. It likewise holds the potential of generating new jobs with the workforce requirements of the new and soon to be build Shell Mobility Stations, as the partnership adds no less than 100 sites in Pilipinas Shell’s nationwide portfolio throughout the expected life of the deal.

        Northern Star and Pilipinas Shell will work together for the seamless integration of operational practices in alignment with Shell standards. In doing so, Northern Star will apply its strong operational excellence and expertise demonstrated through speedy and consistent site growth and best practices through the years.

          ALL HANDS ON DECK FOR GOPETROL IN ITS FIRST COMMUNITY PROJECT

          GoPetrol helped students of Aringay National High School in La Union get back into the learning groove through Northern Star’s Sikap, Tulong, Sulong corporate social responsibility program conducted on August 27, 2022.

          Apart from donating supplies and volunteering to repair and refurbish school furniture and classrooms, the GP team upcycled old tires to plant pots and turned used oil drums to trash bins and a wash area. This initiative supports GoPetrol’s objective to help the communities where it operates and reduce its waste footprint.

          GoPetrol’s Operations Assistant Manager and Pollution Control Officer, Pedelyn Paranada, also conducted a waste segregation awareness session with some of the science, technology engineering, and mathematics (STEM) stream students. The STEM students were encouraged to practice reducing, reusing, and recycling personal wastes, and to pass the message on to their fellow students, households and the community.

          “We look forward to more partnerships with GoPetrol in the future,” said Dr. Adela C. Libunao, school principal. “It is with firm conviction and belief that such partnerships will make our learners feel safe and secure and achieve the dream of quality basic education for every 21st-century Filipino learner! Agyaman kami la unay ti adu! Dios ti agngina!”
