The festivities began with a lively catwalk competition, where participants proudly showcased their creative costumes. Trick-or-treating followed, as attendees collected sweets from each department. The excitement continued with magic and puppet shows that captivated the kids, while a delightful array of snacks added to the celebration.

Employees from Sta. Cruz Storage Corporation Inc. (SCSC), a joint venture between Northern Star Energy Corporation and DMC-CERI, took part in the International Coastal Cleanup 2024 at a beach along Purok Rambutan, Brgy. Darong, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur on September 21, 2024.
During the two-and-a-half-hour cleanup, 15 SCSC volunteers successfully collected 29 sacks of waste composed of 20 sacks of plastic debris, nine sacks of biodegradable materials, and a bottle of hazardous medical waste.
Neil Paraje, SCSC Operations Supervisor, expressed his appreciation for the team’s dedication, noting that protecting the environment aligns closely with the company’s focus on health, safety, and environmental responsibility. He encouraged the group to stay committed to environmental initiatives, saying, “Let’s continue to work together in safeguarding our environment and to support this kind of activity for future generations.”

Northern Star Fuel Facilities Solutions, Inc. (NSF) and Northern Star Energy Corporation (NStar) brought excitement to the students of Malaya Integrated National High School during “Shuffle, Toss, Score! For a Cause”, a fun and interactive community donation and engagement event under the Sikap, Tulong, Sulong (STS) program.
NSF donated two units 43” Smart TV, 12 board games, and eight assorted sports equipment for the school’s new Reading Center. What made this event special was the opportunity of the NSF and NStar teams to play with the students using the board games they donated. Prizes were awarded to winners, and snacks were shared, creating a joyful experience for everyone involved.
This STS activity in Pililla, Rizal highlighted the importance of building relationships within the community and demonstrated that giving back can be a vibrant and engaging experience.
Northern Star kicked off its 2024 beYOU, an umbrella program that covers employees’ overall health, with a look at the past. Unang Pang Grupong Hamon: Larong Pinoy brings back childhood memories and fosters cultural appreciation through traditional Filipino games like Tumbang Preso and Jackstone,
The program will feature a series of friendly competitions scheduled over the coming weeks. There will be individual, pair, and team events in games such as happy feet, badminton, bowling, volleyball, and basketball.

Northern Star’s second town hall meeting in 2024 held last July 31 and themed “Strengthening Our Core”, underscored how the Company’s core values of Integrity, Excellence, Commitment, Innovation, and Teamwork drive its success and growth.
Juan Miguel Delgado, NStar Chief Operating Officer emphasized the pivotal role of leadership in the company’s journey. “Leadership is all about consistently being better at what we do,” he said. “To be the best, we should aim to lead not necessarily in terms of size, revenues, or coverage, but in terms of excellence, integrity, and innovation. By doing this, we will be able to strengthen the core of our organization and our business.”
The meeting also focused on safety as a fundamental aspect of NStar’s leadership ethic. Delgado pointed out that, “An integral part of our leadership ethic is safety. Northern Star Energy Corporation continued its advocacy towards environmental protection by planting 1,000 fruit-bearing and timber seedlings in Sitio Conta, Brgy. Can-Asujan, Carcar City, Cebu on July 23, 2024.
This initiative, part of NStar’s Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS), was done with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) and Conta Manghupi Farmers Association (COMAFA). NStar also planted 2,000 seedlings last year with RAFI and COMAFA.
The community’s involvement highlights the significance of this project not just as an environmental effort but as a livelihood program as well. Vengie Musico, the president of COMAFA, expressed her gratitude: “Thankful kami na may engagement tayo sa Northern Star for livelihood of wives. 3,000 sunod-sunod ang project. She further added, “Mahirap ang hanapbuhay, pero masarap na may tumutulong.”
Mike Ortega, Northern Star Customer Experience Manager, emphasized the importance of having the right partners like RAFI and COMAFA to make this activity possible. “This collaboration symbolizes NStar’s commitment to nurturing nature and strengthening community relationships,” he said. “By working hand in hand with local organizations, we aim to create a sustainable future for the generations to come.”

Northern Star and its MELA (Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Non-BM) retailer partners convened for its first semi-annual Convenience Retail Engagement Meeting (CREM) at LOLA Café in S Maison, Pasay City on June 19, 2024.
Continuing the push to level up partnerships and business strategies, the session began with an insightful discussion on the transformative potential of Convenience Retailing by Mike Ortega, NStar Customer Experience Manager and Strategic Communications Consultant. Noel Ang, Convenience Expansion & Growth Consultant, followed with an update on ongoing leasing activities that focus on the strategic utilization of space to integrate diverse businesses that will enhance the station’s appeal beyond fuel retailing.
The Convenience Retail Team then delivered a comprehensive sales update, highlighting the territory performance year-to-date. The report also addressed key action items such as safety protocols, targets and recognized outstanding performance among retailers.
Abie Turingan, Relationship Manager, effectively wrapped up the meeting with an interactive activity that further cultivated a collaborative spirit and deepened interpersonal connections.
CREM serves as a platform to align goals, inspire continuous improvement and elevate NStar’s convenience retailing operations to new heights.

Conducted last May 23, 2024, the activity was part of Sikap, Sulong, Tulong! (STS), NStar’s umbrella corporate social responsibility program.
GoPetrol also donated sturdy metal trash bins to the school and the local barangay, as a way of supporting a cleaner and greener community.
