Northern Star took a moment to reflect on its accomplishments and challenges over the past six months during Our Story, Our Success, the company’s Town Hall session held on January 22.
The event reinforced NStar’s commitment to its vision, mission, and values, with the leadership team celebrating the achievements of 2024 while emphasizing ongoing efforts to strengthen operations, scale and expand business opportunities, and invest in its greatest asset—its people.
Chief Operating Officer Juan Miguel Delgado highlighted the company’s rich history and the milestones that have shaped its current position in the industry. He underscored the importance of the strong foundation built over the years, which continues to drive NStar’s success. He also shared that NStar achieved record-breaking sales in 2024 and expressed optimism that 2025 will be the company’s best year yet.
General Manager Jojo Gesmundo provided updates on sales and operations across the Convenience Retail and Commercial & Industrial departments, as well as the contributions of the Group’s subsidiaries GoPetrol Transport, Inc., Northern Star Fuel Facilities Solutions, NStar Digital, Inc., and Sta. Cruz Storage Corporation to the NStar Group’s collective success. Chief Finance Officer Romy Regaspi highlighted the company’s financial strength and positive outlook for the year ahead, while HR Manager Rachel Kho wrapped up the discussions with plans to further enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

Northern Star’s Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS) kicked off 2025 with the delivery of free eyeglasses to 98 students of Manuel A. Roxas High School in Paco, Manila on January 8.
This completes the special mission conducted by Northern Star in partnership with Physicians for Peace Philippines (PFPP) when pupils from Grades 7 to 12 underwent eye screening on December 12, 2024.
PFPP Optometrist, Carlina Regodon, O.D., gave a brief lecture on how to properly care for the eyes and use new eyeglasses effectively. This helped ensure that the students would make the most of their new lenses, which are expected to help them excel in their studies and daily lives.Â

Northern Star’s Convenience Retail team and esteemed retailer-partners came together for Sweaters, Dinner, and Cheers! on December 14, 2024, at Grand Sierra Pines in Baguio City.
The event welcomed retailer-partners from across Northern Star’s network of Shell mobility sites and Caltex service stations, celebrating the collaboration and teamwork that fuel the company’s success in convenience retail.
The cozy sweater dress code added a touch of warmth to the gathering, as lively conversations, fun games, and a spirited gift exchange created a festive and joyful atmosphere, bringing everyone closer together.
Northern Star’s Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS) program brought early Christmas cheer to the students and staff of Manuel A. Roxas High School in Paco, Manila, through a healthcare mission held in partnership with Physicians For Peace Philippines (PFPP).
The event, held on December 12, 2024, provided essential healthcare services, including optical assessments for students and breast and cervical cancer screenings for female teaching and non-teaching personnel. Out of the 100 students screened, 94 were prescribed eyeglasses, which will be distributed free of charge on January 8, 2025. Additionally, 12 women received breast cancer screenings, while three underwent cervical screenings.
Brief but impactful remarks were delivered by PFPP COO Lyne Abanilla, NStar Customer Experience Manager Mike Ortega, and Manila City Councilor Raymundo “Mon” Yupangco. Together, they underscored the importance of regular medical check-ups and highlighted the crucial role of sponsors like NStar in supporting NGOs and LGUs to make healthcare accessible to the community.
The healthcare mission marked the fourth and final CSR activity of the year for the NStar Group. As with previous STS initiatives focusing on education and the environment, the event reflected the company’s core values of malasakit and community engagement. Looking ahead to 2025, NStar remains steadfast in its commitment to creating positive change in the communities it serves, driving progress and opportunity through future STS programs.
Northern Star Energy Corporation brought the charm of Paris to life with A Night in Paris, its 2024 Christmas and Thanksgiving Party held on December 6 at The Penthouse 8747 in Makati.
The evening celebrated gratitude and togetherness, kicking off with an inspiring address from COO Juan Miguel Delgado. He emphasized the company’s core values—Integrity, Excellence, Commitment, Innovation, and Teamwork, collectively known as IExCITe. His words resonated as a unifying reminder of the principles that empower Northern Star to move forward as one strong team, setting a tone of solidarity for the night.
A key highlight of the evening was the recognition of employees who reached their 5- and 10-year milestones with the company, honoring their dedication and contributions. This was followed by a lineup of exciting games that sparked laughter and camaraderie, a lavish feast that delighted the palate, and the much-anticipated Star of the Night segment. The celebration continued with a grand raffle draw that brought cheers all around, culminating in a vibrant dance party that ended the night on a high note.

Northern Star brought its top-performing Shell and Caltex sites to Hong Kong for a special incentive trip on November 28 to 30, 2024. This reward was part of the Polaris Awards, announced in May 2024, which recognized the retailers who demonstrated exceptional sales and operational performance.Â
The three-day journey was a perfect mix of leisure, recognition, and inspiration. Participants stayed at a hotel in the heart of the city, indulged in delicious cuisine, and explored the best of Hong Kong’s vibrant culture. A day at Disneyland became the highlight of the trip.
Beyond the fun, the experience solidified the drive to keep leveling up, not just for the trip but for the pride of being among the best.Â

At Northern Star’s Shell stations, honesty and reliability are not just expectations—they are the standard. Recent events at Shell Rosario and Shell Meralco exemplify the company’s commitment to integrity across its network.
On November 14, Forecourt Service Champion (FSC) Mark Oligo of Shell Rosario 2 LU, Subusub discovered a high-value smartphone left behind in the restroom. He promptly turned it over to management, ensuring its safe return when the grateful owner came back. As a token of appreciation, the customer offered a reward, which Mark generously shared with his team to celebrate their collective dedication to honesty.
Just five days later, on November 19, FSC Cyrus Delantar of Shell Meralco, Pasig 1, Julia Vargas demonstrated the same level of integrity. He discovered a wallet containing cash, cards, and IDs and immediately surrendered it to the station officer. Within an hour, the owner returned to retrieve their belongings and expressed deep gratitude for the team’s honesty and swift action.

Northern Star’s Makati head office transformed into a whimsical Candyland for the annual Trick or Treat event, welcoming employees and their families for a fun-filled afternoon.
The festivities began with a lively catwalk competition, where participants proudly showcased their creative costumes. Trick-or-treating followed, as attendees collected sweets from each department. The excitement continued with magic and puppet shows that captivated the kids, while a delightful array of snacks added to the celebration.
