NSTAR SHELL LUBES TEAM EXPANDS REACH

In an exciting development, the Northern Star Shell Lubricants Team expands its coverage to the provinces of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac after being appointed as B2Ci Lubricants Distributor in Region 3 last April 16, 2024. Since 2021, the team has been delivering  world-class Shell Lubricant products to Regions 1, 2, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

This entry into a new territory affirms Northern Star’s commitment to excellence by offering quality products and services, forging new partnerships, and solidifying its position as a trusted industry leader.

    NORTHERN STAR’S SHELL BANGAR 1 GOES SOLAR

    Northern Star’s Shell-branded mobility station Shell Bangar 1 LU, Central East in La Union recently installed solar panels, marking a shift towards renewable energy solutions in its operation.

      A strategic move towards a greener future, the venture generates savings during daytime and early evening and provides automatic backup power protection for the entire station during power failures.  The 6.6KWp Solar PV Panels and 18.2kwh useable Lithium Battery Storage were supplied and installed by GO GRIDLESS Philippines Corporation, a Manila-based solar and energy solutions provider.

      This forward-thinking initiative underscores the commitment of Northern Star and its Convenience Retailer-Partners to sustainability and is aligned with its business strategy to reduce operational costs, enhance brand reputation, and strengthen its market position.

      NSFFSI REACHES SAFETY MILESTONE

      Northern Star Fuel Facilities Solutions Inc. (NSFFSI) was recognized for its contribution to the Five Million Safe Manhours Without a Lost Time Incident of ACEN Corporation during the latter’s safety milestone celebration on March 22, 2024 at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales.

        As of March 2024, the NSFFSI team has already achieved 61,731 safe man hours since the start of its operations in Pililla, Rizal in 2021.

            BACK-TO-BACK ENGINE EMPOWERMENT EVENTS BY NORTHERN STAR AND SHELL

            The Northern Star and Shell Lubricants Teams held back-to-back events in Cauayan, Isabela for Auto Workshop owners and mechanics on March 12 and Construction and General Manufacturing business owners on March 13.

            The Shell Helix Masterclass: Technical & Product Training offered operators and mechanics a deep dive into the technical elements of motor lubrication.

            The Shell LubeTech event gave business owners insights into optimizing engine efficiency and longevity to strengthen their fleet operations.

            The meetings served as platforms to showcase the latest Shell Lubricants product offerings, provide technical overviews, and unveil exclusive event deals, all while fostering engagement and collaboration with Northern Star’s valued partners.

            Northern Star celebrated its collective success in 2023 during RISING TO THE CHALLENGE, DOING OUR SHARE, the first town hall meeting of the year, on January 26, 2024 at the Makati Head Office.

            The leadership team provided a detailed overview of significant milestones, successes, and challenges of 2023 and outlined the exciting plans for the Northern Star group this year. The meeting also addressed concerns and suggestions raised by the employees during the pre-meeting survey.

                STS IN CEBU: NORTHERN STAR AND GOPETROL JOIN FORCES TO GO GREEN

                Northern Star and GoPetrol Transport, Inc (GPTI) joined forces with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. One to Tree (RAFI-OTT) to plant native timber and fruit-bearing seedlings in Brgy. Can-asujan, Carcar City, Cebu under Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS).  STS is Northern Star’s social investment program launched in 2016 with central themes of education, health, environment, and values formation.

                With the help of Conta Manghupi Farmers Association (COMAFA), a community-based forest management holder awarded by DENR, a total of 2000 seedlings were planted last December 7, 2023. This joint effort plays a crucial role in mitigating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and moving lives forward.

                The collective impact of these newly planted trees echoes the Northern Star Group’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its dedication to corporate social responsibility.

                NSTAR SHINES IN DENIM DURING CHRISTMAS 2023

                The Northern Star Group shone in their denims last December 1st at the 2023 Company Christmas Party held in Makati City. COO Juan Miguel T. Delgado kicked off the event by welcoming and thanking the Northern Star team for their hard work during the current year.

                The highlight of the evening was the recognition of employees who have contributed time and skills to the company’s success over the years.  The 5-year loyalty awardees were given Certificates of Appreciation. The 10-year loyalty awardees received wristwatches in addition to their certificates.

                The program also featured the awarding of prizes to the beYOU Program winners.  beYOU is an umbrella program that covers Northern Star employee engagements related to physical, mental, and social health.

                The winning teams and individuals excelled in various events promoting an active lifestyle through physical and sports activities.

                Adding a touch of glamour to the evening, select employees were also given prizes for their eye-catching outfits that made them shine and stand out as true fashionistas.

                Apart from a sumptuous dinner, the attendees also partook of fun and exciting games and had several chances to win minor and major raffle prizes.

                  FROM GAMECHANGERS TO TRAVELERS:  THE POLARIS 2022 AWARDEES IN TAIPEI, TAIWAN

                  The Northern Star Polaris 2022 awardees enjoyed the fruits of their hard work as they savored the rich culture and heritage of Taipei, Taiwan from October 20-22, 2023.

                  Feasting on the world-famous Taiwanese cuisine and exploring the historical places of the city together, the trip was an excellent opportunity for the Northern Star Team and its business partners to bond and build stronger connections.

                    The trip was the main prize of the Polaris Awards, an annual Northern Star event that aims to recognize the outstanding performance and partnership of its Convenience Retailer-Partners.
