GOPETROL LAUNCHES IDOL DRIVERS’ REWARDS & RECOGNITION PROGRAM
GoPetrol Transport, Inc. simultaneously launched the IDOL Drivers’ Rewards and Recognition Program to its team members in La Union, Batangas, and Palawan on June 22, 2022.
The IDOL Driver’s Awards aim to reward employees who excel in their work attitude and duties. It recognizes not only the achievement of goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) but also the exceptional methods, manner, and approaches practiced by the employees.
The Program uses a Point-based Employee Rewards System. KPIs will be established with corresponding actions and tasks to determine the earning or deduction of points based on either positive deeds and merits or violations and non-compliance.
IDOL Awards shall be handed out quarterly and annually to incentivize the performance of the GoPetrol drivers throughout the year. The program is aligned with the maintenance of GoPetrol’s integrated management systems certifications in Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety.
STELLAR REDEFINED IN NORTHERN STAR 2021 POLARIS VIRTUAL AWARDS CEREMONY
Northern Star Retailer Partners shone even brighter in the 2021 Polaris Virtual Awards held on June 8, 2022.
Northern Star Caltex service stations in Baler, Aurora; Roxas Isabela; and Bantay, Ilocos Sur bagged the Top 1, 2 and 3 Polaris Awards, respectively. They scored the highest cumulative scores in terms of fuel sales volume, customer service, facilities, and non-fuel sales performance. Each was awarded with cash and an all-expense-paid trip to Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu.
Citations were also given for the following categories: Five-Year Retailer Partner, 10-Year Partner, Five-Year Co-Locator Partner, Top Performer for Customer First, Rookie Station, Best Restroom, Highest Volume Percentage Growth (Bounce Back/Most Improved), Top Overall Volume and Digi-Star Award.
Juan Miguel T. Delgado, Northern Star’s COO congratulated the Retailer Partners for their achievements and called upon them to constantly evolve and adapt. “The demands of the Covid pandemic have prompted us to look farther into the future of convenience retailing,” he emphasized.
He quoted an industry expert who recently said “Major transformations are sweeping over the fuels and convenience retail sector, making it imperative for stores to rethink their fundamental operations. Consumers are becoming more conscious of health and sustainability. And technology is making retail operations more efficient and helping stores serve a growing variety of needs.”
Delgado also thanked the organizers of the event and said, “We have truly made leaps and bounds with regard to holding virtual events.”
Northern Star is also celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Among the Retailers Partners who have been with Northern Star since 2012 was Elfleda Ruelos, Retailer from Bantay Ilocos Sur and the Top 3 2021 Polaris awardee. “The key (to the enduring partnership with Northern Star) is constant and open communication, being accessible, flexible, and aiming and providing measurable results,” she said.
Each Polaris year is a testament to the strength of the relationship between Northern Star and the Retailer-Partners. “As the country navigates the road to recovery, we are cognizant that there remain challenges along the way – but we are also very excited for the opportunity to expand and continue to grow our business with all of you,” said Stephen V. Tiongco, Northern Star’s Deputy General Manager for Sales and Operations.
NORTHERN STAR RETAILERS TOP 2021 CALTEX BAYANIHAN RETAILER INCENTIVE PROGRAM AWARDS
Northern Star Retailers scooped 14 out of the Top 20 Branded Marketer Retailers spots in the 2021 Caltex Bayanihan Retailer Incentive program. BMR Gasoline Station in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur ranked Number 1 with multiple service stations under Northern Star partners GLEDCO and Bantay Star Petroleum Trading Corporation also in the Top 20.
The Bayanihan program was launched in 2020 to reward service stations for their exemplary performance in customer service, facilities management, and volume growth. This year’s awarding was held on April 26, 2022.

SCSC DARONG IMPORT FACILITY BREAKS GROUND

The ceremony was led by Kit Bermudez, Pilipinas Shell VP for Supply and Distribution; Serge Bernal, Pilipinas Shell VP for Corporate Relations; Sid Consunji, President of DMCI Holdings, Inc.; Das Reyes, President of DMC-CERI and SCSC; Juan Miguel T. Delgado, COO of Northern Star Energy Corporation and SCSC; and Romy Regaspi, CFO of Northern Star Energy Corporation and SCSC.
The event was also attended by the Municipality of Sta. Cruz Mayor Engr. Jaime G. Lao, Jr. and executives from the local and national government.
The Darong Import Facility, with a rated capacity of 67 million liters of petroleum products, is targeted to be completed and fully operational by the third quarter of 2024. The facility will be designed, constructed, and operated by SCSC for Shell with an exclusive-use arrangement for a term contract with an option to extend.
