Northern Star (NStar) officially launched its 5S workplace organization program on August 8, reinforcing the company’s commitment to fostering a culture where employees can truly thrive. Anchored on NStar’s IExCITE core values—integrity, excellence, commitment, innovation, and teamwork—the initiative underscores that success starts with the discipline to maintain clean, organized, and efficient workspaces.
Rooted in the 5S principles—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—the program encourages every team member to create work environments that are safe, efficient, and purpose-driven. Designated 5S Champions will lead the rollout across departments to ensure these practices become second nature in daily operations.
“5S is not just about cleaning up; it’s about building habits that improve how we work and how we live,” said QSSHE Manager Norjes Dela Vega during the launch. “This is a strong start for ‘Fueling Safety, Together, for a safer tomorrow.’”
As a symbolic first step, employees received cleaning kits to help them kick off the journey toward more organized work areas, paving the way for better execution and a workplace where everyone can perform at their best.
