One story may be all it takes to spark curiosity and help a child see the world a little differently.
#SparkDay brought that possibility closer to young learners in Makati and Baguio under the NStar Sikap, Tulong, Sulong! (STS) Program.
On September 4, Northern Star Energy Corporation donated 354 books to Hen. Pio Del Pilar Elementary School – Main in Makati and gathered 36 students for a storytelling session led by a professional storyteller from Adarna House.
The same initiative was conducted on September 7 in Alfonso Tabora Elementary School in Baguio, where another 354 books were turned over. The activity brought 98 students together for a storytelling session facilitated by NStar volunteers, including retailers, station personnel, and head office employees.
For those who usually spend their days serving customers at NStar Shell Upper Session Rd. Baguio, #SparkDay offered a different kind of experience: stepping outside their usual work routines to share the joy of reading within the community.
Through book donation and storytelling activities, NStar puts STS to action, creating opportunities to support young learners and the communities around them.
